Windsor Food & Fuel Bank Holiday Update

We are sorry to report that due to concerns about COVID safety, this year Windsor’s Christmas Tree & Holiday Festival Open House has been cancelled. The Windsor Food and Fuel Bank has benefited from this event each year and we are very grateful to George Saponare for his past generosity. By sharing the beauty of his home with the public in exchange for food items or monetary donations, he has promoted wonderful community support for our mission.

We look forward to visiting Mr. Saponare’s winter wonderland again in 2021, but the Food and Fuel Bank will miss the resources we received from Mr. Saponare’s open houses in the past. Because the pandemic continues to challenge many members of the Windsor community, we hope that you will choose to assist neighbors in need by supporting our work in other ways!

Windsor’s Social Services Department and the Windsor Food Bank receive donations of nonperishable food, toiletries, and gift cards for local stores and gas stations Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. They are located at the L.P. Wilson Community Center at 599 Matianuck Avenue. Please call 860-285-1839 to schedule a time to bring your items.***

If you wish to make a cash donation to be applied to our food, fuel and utility, and basic needs programs, please use the DONATE button on this page or mail a check to Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, P.O. Box 854, Windsor, CT 06095.

Finally, if you are a Windsor resident in need of assistance or know someone who would benefit from our help, please contact the Windsor Social Services office at 860-285-1839, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Information is also available at
