Who We Are

Who We Are
Founded in 1967 as the Windsor Community Service Council, the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization managed by a Board of Directors and supported by many dedicated volunteers. Our mission is to assure that no member of the Windsor community is hungry, cold, or without basic necessities.

Our all-volunteer Board of Directors works in close partnership with the Town of Windsor Social Services department to provide programs for town residents who experience food insecurity, challenges with fuel and utility costs, or who need an essential service or assistance. By partnering with Social Services, we are able to develop and maintain programs that address identified needs at both individual and community-wide levels.

All initiatives of the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank Inc are made possible by the generosity of countless Windsor community members. We receive donations ranging from volunteer hours to truckloads of diapers from individual citizens, local businesses, civic and religious organizations, and large corporate partners. Aside from our need for financial contributions, we rely heavily on supporters who offer their time and manpower, organize food or fund raising drives, or provide us with in-kind services.

If you would like to assist us in fulfilling in our mission, you can learn more here about our “how you can help” opportunities.
